In light of the rapid development of information technology and its increasing role in the work of social, educational and governmental institutions as well as in the public and private sectors comes the organization of the Third Information Technology Forum of the Faculty of Information Technology at the Islamic University in Gaza. Under the theme "..towards an information society", the forum aims to highlight the role of all the above-mentioned institutions in the development of social use of information technology.

Goals of the forum

• Gathering of actors in the field of information technology such as professionals, academics and society-based organizations, to exchange ideas, experiences and scientific output.
• Inform those interested on the realities and constraints of the application of information technology in the Palestinian society.
• Creating a common vision for the applicability and advancement of information technology in the Palestinian environment.
• Identify priorities and new areas for the use of information technology in the Palestinian environment.
• Discuss the status of information technology education and information technology graduates in Palestine.
