    Welcome to Gaza

    Gaza Strip

As you know the conference will be in Gaza. With a population of about 450,000, making it the largest city in the Palestinian territories. Gaza's history of habitation dates back 5,000 years, making it one of the oldest cities in the world. Located on the Mediterranean coastal route between North Africa and the Levant, for most of its history it served as a key seaport of the southern Levant and an important stopover on the spice trade route traversing the Red Sea. Your participation in the conference may contribute in reducing the blockade. Gazaouits are very welcoming, friendly, and eager to know other cultures. The conference organizers are ready to provide valuable instructions on how to reach and stay in Gaza comfortably.
